Good afternoon from a coach on the M6! (now uploaded from the hostel...)
This morning, we all met at the Sea Terminal bright and early ready for our journey over to Liverpool on the Manannan! We checked in, and were straight on the boat; along with 6 other schools all heading off on their trips to the UK!
We arrived in Liverpool after a very calm sailing, and collected our bags ready to begin our journey! Unfortunately, we had a little delay to the coach arriving in Liverpool due to a hold up on the motorway, so we had some time to spare around Liverpool! We headed over to the Museum of Liverpool and stored our bags in lockers before taking a look around the museum. The children learned lots about Liverpool's history and the famous names that have come from the city! The children even *attempted* a karaoke song...
We had our lunch by the Liver building on the dock in the sunshine while fending away an array of birds and seagulls! We enjoyed the sun for a little while before deciding to take the opportunity to have a wander around the Dockside. We refilled our water bottles and off we went!
Due to the original coach being caught in traffic, the travel company kindly sent us a replacement so we could get underway as soon as possible!
By this time, the coach was on its way to us so we grabbed our cases from the museum and waited by the Liver building!
We got underway on the M62 and headed out of Liverpool towards York! We met up with our original coach, after a quick toilet break and stretch of our legs before continuing on the second leg of our journey! By this point, we were ready to continue on towards York!
- Due to us leaving Liverpool later than planned, we have had to postpone our trip to the Energi trampoline park until Wednesday afternoon and had dinner at the hostel. This gave us more time so that we weren't rushing when we arrived.
What an eventful first day traveling! All the children are fine and in good spirits! Albeit very tired because of our long day exploring Liverpool and traveling!
