A caring community where learners rise to the challenge
Victoria Road School is proud to announce that, following two years of dedicated work, we have been officially recognised and accredited as an ADHD Friendly School by the ADHD Foundation and Neurodiversity Charity. This nationally recognised accreditation celebrates schools that are committed to making their environment a safe, inclusive, and nurturing place where all learners – particularly those with ADHD – can thrive and achieve their potential.
Our journey toward this accreditation was rooted in our firm belief that inclusion for all learners is at the heart of everything we do at Victoria Road School. With this in mind, we made the conscious decision to work towards meeting the ADHD Foundation’s six key pledges, which include staff training, creating ADHD-friendly environments, increasing access to physical activity, and providing resources and support for families. The award reflects our commitment not just to children with ADHD, but to ensuring a positive, understanding and supportive environment for every child.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our entire school community — staff, parents, and of course our wonderful children — for their enthusiasm, engagement and support throughout this process. A special mention must go to Mr Moultrie and Mrs Strand, who have shown exceptional leadership in driving this initiative forward and embedding meaningful change across the school. This achievement marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to embrace neurodiversity and celebrate the unique strengths of every learner at Victoria Road School.
